HISTORY

The goal of this project was to create a working model of an electric railcar based on BART, the Bay Area Rapid Transit commuter rail system of the San Francisco Bay Area. I commuted on BART trains for many years, so I am very familiar with the sights and sounds of the real trains.

This resulting X-Train model includes an operational train controller, photo-realistic interior views, authentic sound effects, and opening doors to complete the sim-rail experience.

FEATURES


		realistic body design and paint, lighting
		photo-realistic interior views
		custom engine, rail, horn, and door warning sounds
		custom cockpit with functioning controller, radio, GPS, etc.
		manual or computer-controlled operation available, just like in real life
		operating side doors
		train operation manual included

X-Train can be completely controlled with only a mouse. A flight yoke works great for steering. The horn can be accessed manually or use your flaps key. Doors are controlled via the speedbrakes.
